Scott's unique compilation of 45 years in nutritional research, combined with 26 years of clinical practice helping 1000’s of patients overcome very difficult and complex conditions as he himself overcame.

Throughout the book are success stories of real patients with complex conditions. It highlights the difference between ancient medicine and modern medicine, and the origins of the human body and its ability to heal naturally using food as medicine, and changes in lifestyle. Touching on Biblical principles throughout and simple ways to improve your health so you can live the abundant vibrant life you dream about.

    Having been a patient of this gifted and genuinely warm holistic practitioner since 2014/2015, I was thrilled to dive into The 12 Pillars of Vibrant Health. Even with all the invaluable knowledge and guidance I’ve received from him over the years, I found myself learning new insights and approaches from this book—a testament to how rich and comprehensive it truly is.

    This book is a goldmine for anyone seeking holistic ways to achieve and maintain optimal health. It’s packed with practical, empowering information that goes beyond conventional health advice, offering a deeply integrative approach to healing and well-being. What struck me most was how accessible and applicable the material is, even for someone already familiar with his teachings.

    The 12 Pillars for Vibrant Health has become my new best friend. Finally there are clear and targeted answers, rooted in ancient and modern technologies, a very compelling personal story and much science. Written as if you were in Scott’s office having an appointment with the most warm, intelligent and trusted physician you have ever met- this personal health, healing and wellness manual is what our world needs NOW. It’s very readable, and includes strategic links to Scott’s short videos. This book has the power to help you reverse and avoid challenges modern medicine doesn’t. Allergies, fatigue, mental health, hormones, immunity, chronic pain , autoimmunity and cancer. Take back your health, your body and your life.

    My medical doctors repeatedly diagnosed my extremely painful gut issue as chronic diverticulitis. After several scans, tests and three rounds of antibiotics prescribed over a 5-month period (which made it worse), it got to the point where I was passing out from the pain. My gastroenterologist thought it was time to remove part of my colon. I went to Scott Sommer and he recommended a regiment of supplements and practices in this book—pearls of wisdom! Within a few months my pain and symptoms subsided. The surgeon reviewed my case and stated I did not need surgery given my improvement. I also saw Scott 15 years ago when I had pain behind my eyeballs for months where it felt like they were going to pop out of my head. An ophthalmologist said I was fine and to come back in a year. No regard for my pain. Scott tested me and found I had aluminum in my brain—likely from much time I’d spent in Eastern Europe. He provided supplements and practices to chelate the metals. I was pain free before the week was over. I always wanted more information from Scott on lifestyle choices, and this book gives them and more with the video links and posts on social media. Everyone can benefit from the truth in this book—rather than western medicine’s way of treating symptoms—not causes. I am sooo grateful--thanks Scott!

    I have just finished reading this book through to the end. I am amazed at how much I’ve learned about how my body works, and how I can help it through my recovery from long covid.Over the years, I’ve read many books and articles on body systems and health issues, and I found Scott’s writing style to be perfect for the type of detailed information that he outlines. I was able, finally, to digest the information and understand the truly magical processes my body goes through to achieve all that I take for granted: digestion, exercise, hydration, thinking, healing…and how I can optimize all of these by relying less on western medicine and more on the thousand year old principles of eastern medicine.His descriptive style creates pictures in my mind that help me understand the complex and intertwined systems of hormones, electrical energy, scars, blood flow, and the rest…and how finding a balance within all this to create the possibility of healing things that were not obvious (or diagnosed by specialists), but were impairing my recovery. Facts are documented and duly noted in the footnotes, keeping the information uncluttered and easy to understand.
     
    Chapters are short and cover individual body systems, and include healthy suggestions such as filtering water, adding apple cider vinegar and lemon juice to your daily routine, touching the earth, and the reasons to go organic. Each chapter ends with a link to one of Scott’s podcasts, which are presented in a friendly, approachable manner.His passion is heartwarming, and in his writing you can sense his desire to heal, and to ask us to honor the wonder we have within us to live with vitality and energy.I am truly grateful that he has taken the time to write this book and share it with us.
